From standing up Python interoperability systems during the COVID vaccine rollout to architecting a multi-health-system Kubernetes platform from the ground up, I've built production infrastructure where the margin for error is zero and the stakes are clinical.
Built authentication and reporting systems for the COVID-19 Vaccine Scheduler serving Florida, Georgia, and Delta Air Lines, high-traffic, high-scrutiny Python systems delivered under pandemic urgency.
Co-founded the engineering team before a single customer existed. Built the entire platform from scratch, Docker containers on Azure VMs, Epic integration via Cloverleaf, navigating VPN tunnels, DNS resolution, and subnet networking to connect into hospital systems.
Graduated the platform from storage accounts and function apps to a full Kubernetes deployment spanning multiple health systems. Mirth interface engines feed storage account queues and SQL pooled databases, with zero-downtime containerized deployments across a hub-and-spoke Azure network architecture.
Designed and deployed an AWS-based firehose system, gateway, queue, and algorithmic processing pipeline, for real-time continuous waveform data from body-worn sensors. Solved critical challenges around playback fidelity, downtime recovery, and high-availability delivery.
02 / Security & Compliance
I’ve been involved in mapping controls and building to SOC 2, ISO, and HIPAA standards since Telemetrix’s earliest days. Today I lead the compliance program end-to-end, selecting audit firms, directing the audit process, and presenting security posture to vendors and clients.
Lead the full audit lifecycle from scoping and firm selection through evidence collection, control testing, and final presentation. Deliver security briefings to prospective clients and vendor partners, and respond to security questionnaires at both the technical and executive level.
Manage continuous compliance monitoring through Drata, mapping organizational controls across SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO frameworks. Produce recurring compliance reports covering admin access states, login activity, onboarding and termination timelines, and device posture.
Maintain the full compliance policy library, including information security, acceptable use, incident response, data handling, and access control. Ensure all engineering and operational build meets the applicable regulatory standard before it ships.
Enforce device-level security through MDM and endpoint protection platforms including SentinelOne and NinjaOne. Track fleet compliance posture and ensure encryption, patching, and access controls are maintained across the organization.
03 / Executive Leadership
For the past year and a half I’ve led the engineering organization at Telemetrix, overseeing roadmap, architecture, headcount, resource forecasting, and final sign-off on every pull request, deployment, and code change that reaches production.
04 / AI & Machine Learning
I led the evaluation, security review, and rollout of AI tooling across Telemetrix — from GitHub Copilot in the engineering org to executive productivity tools — all within HIPAA constraints where a single mishandled prompt could be a compliance event.
